Next, decide what style roof you prefer: We offer both peaked gable roof sheds and slanted lean-to roof styles. Finally, please take a look at the plan itself to make sure you understand the materials list, measured drawings, and directions before you commit. .
It’s important to note that both Home Depot Tuff Shed and Lowes Heartland Sheds use 2×4″ studs — which are much more substantial than the 2×3″ studs I saw in other sheds.
Measure your wood shed’s roof depth and add a few inches for overhang (if using asphalt roofing do not extend the sheet more than 2″ over a support or you could have some sagging over time.)
Every shed comes with shingles and one shed door, your choice of size and location. As an Option: you can Upgrade to a metal roof and double doors. Of course, you can add Windows, Vents, Steel doors, Shelves, painting, etc. and can place them where you would like.
Don’t pack away your belongings in cardboard boxes if they're going to be stored in your outside shed. This includes seasonal decor (yes, your Christmas decoration, too!), clothing that doesn't fit anymore, and memorabilia. Items in cardboard boxes are always vulnerable to insects, pests, mold, and water or moisture damage. Instead of cardboard, choose waterproof, pest-proof plastic bins (these 17-gallon Clear Plastic Totes with Locking Lids from the Container Store are great!) — especially if you choose to store clothes in a shed.
Our 12×20 2-story workshop shed has a starting price of just over $13,767. This is for a shed you could live in. In fact, some people do live in them. Use one for a workshop, a man cave, or a she-shed. With all this space the possibilities are multiplied!

Very happy with the service we received. The folks who came out and installed the goals were courteous and professional and they stayed on the planned schedule. The kids (and I) have loved our new basketball goal.
An important note here: always check with the facility manager first! Some storage facilities are absolutely fine with you keeping your registered firearms in your unit, but others have very strict guidelines on storing guns. If the facility does grant your request to keep guns in the unit, always remember to keep your firearms unloaded.
The back and side cladding don’t match up since the sides are at an angle and therefore wider. I just put the angled boards equal distance from the top and bottom of the back cladding, but it still looks off.. Oh well, it’s purpose is to hold wood, not be a showpiece!
