Think of these like a storage unit's little brother. You'll often find storage lockers for rent at traditional storage facilities, often with similar benefits like interior access and climate control, but because of their smaller size, cost a fraction of the price. .

The two-person crew was extremely professional. One of the two guys, an individual who had been working for Tuff Shed for several years, volunteered all kinds of maintenance and care advice to me. He told me exactly how to keep my shed in good working order for many years to come. Paint your wood Tuff Shed every few years – to help keep the exterior in attractive condition. Keep mulch and other landscaping materials away from the under lip of the wood siding — to reduce wood rot. Avoid abutting landscaping materials that might allow water to ricochet back up and under the siding — again, water getting under the wood siding could encourage rot development. Keep large plants farther away from the foundation to keep roots from growing up under your Tuff shed — however, ground plantings around the shed are okay. Don’t apply any adhesive flooring inside your shed — it could void the warranty.
We've had a fantastic experience working w/ Recreation Unlimited.! Our hot tub was ready ahead of schedule! The installers arrived first thing in the morning. Very professional. Spent extra time to make sure landscaping wasn't disturbed. Setup and training were also outstanding. Very happy customer.

Measure your wood shed’s roof depth and add a few inches for overhang (if using asphalt roofing do not extend the sheet more than 2″ over a support or you could have some sagging over time.)
As a Florida homeowner living within 20 miles of the shore, I wanted to make sure I have a shed that will not only stand up to heat, but also water. And in Central Florida, we get a lot of wind — from hurricanes and thunderstorms in the summer and cold fronts in the fall, winter, and spring.

Basically anything that is alive should not be kept in storage. It's both illegal and inhumane to keep animals in a storage unit, and you won't be able to hide them from the facility managers. Plants require water and sunlight for survival so they won't last long in storage and will also be good for attracting vermin and insects. You'd think this would go without saying but while some storage facilities will allow you to have an office or workshop in your unit, you cannot start living out of it (seriously, that's illegal).
In short, we do not recommend building a shed for first-time DIYers. Even assembling a shed from a kit can have its challenges. Though the pieces are pre-cut, the directions can be difficult to follow, and a range of tools must be used.
